ABOUT ME

Tanya Carmichael

Tanya Carmichael is a Keynote Speaker, Private Equity Investor, and Founder of an Advisory practice connecting leadership best practices and systems-thinking to the issues investment organizations face today to meet stakeholder expectations.

She is a strategic advisor to pension fund leaders, PE fund managers, asset owners and industry associations as they reimagine and future-proof investment strategy to integrate ESG, culture and DEI as strategic differentiators.  She applies a strategic lens to combine investment imperatives with pathways for leadership elevation and impact.

Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Western University and the Directors Education designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors at Rotman (ICD.D), Tanya led a $12B fund portfolio and global investment team as Managing Director and Head of Global Funds, Equities for the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

She is a Former Chair of the ILPA Board and has previously served as a Member of the Private Equity Steering Committee of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment
